BCOM Students will be providing post-race treatment to runners at this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2015.
Our student osteopaths will provide sports massage to those running the marathon for the charities Bliss, Breakthrough Breast Cancer & Breast Cancer Campaign and Arthritis Research UK.
BCOM's student practitioners are supervised by experienced Registered Osteopaths who regularly treat sports injuries.
BCOM has worked with the charities over the past few years to offer post-race support to London Marathon runners and senior members of the Clinic faculty worked at the London 2012 Olympics as members of the Central Medical Team. BCOM will be launching a specialist Sports Clinic in May 2015.
Money raised by the charities’ marathon teams will help with their vital research and campaigning.
Caroline Davey, Bliss Chief Executive, said: “We’re very grateful for BCOM’s continued support. Our marathon runners have worked tirelessly to raise vital funds for Bliss and it is fantastic that they will be offered this service after completing such an amazing challenge.”
The BCOM Clinic is offering a 25% reduction on the price of a new consultation to anyone participating in a sports event to raise money for charity.
