Clinical practice raises many questions regarding the processes underlying both treatment mechanisms and reasons behind osteopaths’ implementation of particular examination, treatment and management strategies for their patients; My PhD aims to explore the clinical reasoning of osteopaths. By using qualitative research methodologies I am developing a theoretical model of clinical reasoning which would inform further research, current practice, and research.
