BCOM uses its cutting-edge teaching and research facilties and extensive, highly praised osteopathic education experience to inform its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses. BCOM is recognised for its special focus on an holistic approach to osteopathic education and patient care. Most full-time BCOM academic staff have PhDs with publications and presentations, many to international audiences and there is a great variety of clinical experience and specialisms amongst the College's clinical staff. BCOM also founded the International Conferences on Advances in Osteopathic Research (ICAOR), which has hosted several times. BCOM also offers a Conversion Course Degree (BSc (Hons) Osteopathy) for Diplomates in Osteopathy. This includes the module Advances In Osteopathic Medicine and a research project appropriate for undergradutate-level study.
Facilities
The facilities for research at BCOM are without doubt amongst the best that osteopathic institution across the world can offer. The two research suites are home to a variety of "state of the art" diagnostic and evaluative equipment, much of which will be either used by or accessible to participants on relevant CPD courses.Lectures will take place in the Douglas Drysdale Lecture Theatre, on the BCOM Netherhall Gardens campus in Hampstead. This air-conditioned Lecture Theatre seats 120 in a tiered arrangement and is fully fitted with "state of the art" audio-visual facilities including LCD Data Projection, Digitiser, Internet access , DVD and video playback. Wheel-chair access and an induction hearing loop are provided for those with special needs. Practical sessions will take place in BCOM's Lief House in either one of two 70 capacity air-conditioned Practical teaching rooms or, in the case of the Sports Medicine Courses, Physiological Measurement or Hydrotherapy, in the specialist Exercise Physiology / Hydrotherapy Suite.

BCOM's large and flexible campus is easily accessible both from central London and from outside the capital, being directly opposite Finchley Road underground station, very near Finchley Road & Frognal BR, and close to the A406 North Circular via the Finchley Road (A41 becoming A598).
