Diploma in Naturopathy

The Diploma in Naturopathy (N.D.) is a four-year full-time programme which is internally validated by the College.  It may run parallel to a BCOM degree validated through the University of Westminster and be awarded simultaneously with a degree-leve award such as the Masters in Osteopathy, but these awards are not mutually interdependent.  There are many shared elements and consistencies between the two programmes but they are not identical pathways and have some different assessment processes and outcomes.

The BCOM N.D. is a unique award within the UK osteopathic education sector and reflects the holistic and naturopathic emphases in the College's philosophy.  The N.D. is accredited in its own right by the General Council & Register of Naturopaths. Applicants must be clear that entry to this award without entry to the Masters in Osteopathy will confer no eligibility for registration as an osteopath in the UK. These are separate registration routes and separate regulatory bodies. Graduation from the Masters in Osteopathy will give eligibility to register with the General Council & Register of Naturopaths in its own right.

Modules of study include: Principles of Naturopathy; Anatomy; Physiology; Pathology; Nutrition; Diagnosis; Exercise Physiologyy, Orthopaedics and Traumatology; Psychology; Pathology; Paediatrics; among others. The clinical teaching, standards and time requirements are the same as for the Masters in Osteopathy.
