Undergraduate Osteopathy Courses*

Master of OsteopathyThis is a four year full-time course and upon graduation you will be eligible to register with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). This course combines practical experience, and anatomical and theoretical knowledge with applied osteopathic skills to become competent osteopathic practitioners. Successful students graduate from BCOM with a validated integrated Masters degree from the University of Plymouth recognised by GOsC. BCOM provides a staff to student ratio of 1:4 in clinic and 1:5 for practising students in practical classes. BCOM uses specialist lectures to teach or lead a number of the theoretical subjects such as psychology, research methods, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and imaging.

BSc (Hons) OsteopathyThis is a four year full-time modified attendance degree which runs two evenings a week and one Saturday per month with additional hours required for clinic training, tutorials and self-directed study.  This  University of Plymouth validated degree is aimed at those students who want to combine studying with working or managing family life.

Postgraduate Osteopathy Courses

PgCert Osteopathic Sports CareA year-long, part-time course, the Osteopathic Sports Care course has been created in associated with the Osteopathic Sports Care Association and provides a structured specialist pathway to build skills and experience in managing sports-related injuries.

PgCert Human NutritionA 10-month course aimed at osteopath’s who want to enhance their knowledge of human nutrition in healthcare, this certification enables practitioners to deliver a holistic approach to treating patients. The course is taught through a combination of lectures, interactive tutorials and practical teaching sessions.
