Karolin Krell wins ‘Dance Healthcare Team Award’

Congratulations to BCOM Clinic Tutor Karolin Krell and her team from the London Contemporary Dance School who have won for the second year, the ‘Dance healthcare team award’ at the One Dance UK Awards. The One Dance UK Awards 2019, which celebrates achievement in dance across the UK, took place in Manchester.

Karolin Krell and her team won the award for showing “Exceptional interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure the dancers they support are as fit for training and/or performance as they can be and demonstrated how they come together to identify and deliver effective treatment, rehabilitation and training programmes for the dancers they are supporting.”

Commenting on the award Karolin said:

“This win highlights that osteopaths can work as a part of a multidisciplinary physical support team and can complement, with results, team-driven treatment.”

Karolin was also nominated for the Dance Healthcare Practitioner Award, which she received last year. Alongside her work with dancers, Karolin had a very busy year supporting the German national rowing team at the world championships and has also been busy with the German Triathlon National Team.
