The British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) is seeking to appoint Ostheopathy and Clinic Tutors.

Established in 1936, BCOM is one of the leading osteopathic colleges in the UK. It is renowned for its quality in education being awarded ‘approval without conditions’ from the Quality Assurance Agency led ‘Recognised Qualification’ reviews on behalf of the General Osteopathic Council for two consecutive reviews. BCOM’s degree course is validated by Plymouth University. BCOM prides itself on its quality of teaching and clinical experience along with its friendly supportive atmosphere. BCOM is particularly regarded for its unique naturopathic approach to osteopathic care in its teaching and within its busy teaching clinic.

Duties will include:

  • Teaching Osteopathic Techniques – structural, soft tissue and visceral
  • Supervising clinical students in Years 3 and 4 in our out-patient teaching clinic
  • Responsibility to prepare, deliver, set and mark assessments for the academic and practical subjects

You must be qualified as an Osteopath and must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council. You must also be eligible to work and live in the UK.

Successful candidates working within the BCOM clinic will be required to go through an enhanced Diclosure and Barring services (DBS) check.

These vacancies are to work on part-time basis over 36 week term time for Osteopathic Techniques and either either 36 weeks or 52 weeks for clinic tutoring. The work pattern will be discussed at the interview. Please clarify your availability during the week, on your application form. Preferred start date for this position is 11 September 2017.

Salary will be competitive depending on previous experience & qualifications. Other benefits including pension, life assurance, holidays will be explained in details during the interview.
